Uma música do Paul McCartney por dia - #167 Long Tall Sally

Um clássico do rock interpretado pelo Paul para começar o fim de semana em alto astral: Long Tall Sally. Guitarra do Mark Knopfler. Nem a princesa Diana conseguiu ficar parada!

Long Tall Sally
Little Richard

Don't tell Aunt Mary about Uncle John
He claims he got married, but he's having lots of fun
Oh, baby, yeah, baby
Oh, baby, having me some fun tonight

Well, long tall Sally, she's built sweet
She's got everything that Uncle John needs
Oh, baby, yeah baby
Oh, baby, having me some fun tonight

Well, I saw Uncle John with bald-head Sally
He saw Aunt Mary coming and he ducked back in the alley
Oh, baby, yeah baby
Oh, baby, having me some fun tonight

I'm gonna have some fun tonight
Have some fun tonight, have some fun tonight
Everything's all right
Have some fun, having me some fun tonight

Uma música do Paul McCartney por dia - #166 That´s All Right Mama

Só mesmo o Paul para cantar essa música tão bem quanto o Elvis Presley. Vídeo muito legal.

That's Alright, Mama
Jimmy Rogers

Well, that's alright, mama
That's alright for you
That's alright mama, just anyway you do
Well, that's alright, that's alright.
That's alright now mama, anyway you do

Mama she done told me,
Papa done told me too
'Son, that gal your foolin' with,
She ain't no good for you'
But, that's alright, that's alright.
That's alright now mama, anyway you do

I'm leaving town, baby
I'm leaving town for sure
Well, then you wont be bothered with
Me hanging 'round your door
Well, that's alright, that's alright.
That's alright now mama, anyway you do

Uma música do Paul McCartney por dia - #165 While My Guitar Gently Weeps

A música é dos Beatles, escrita pelo George Harrison, mas vale pela presença no Paul e do Ringo na apresentação. Uma das mais lindas músicas do rock, na minha opinião, e um solo de guitarra sublime, do mago Clapton, nesta e no original.

While My Guitar Gently Weeps
George Harrison

I look at you all see the love there that's sleeping
While my guitar gently weeps
I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping
Still my guitar gently weeps

I don't know why nobody told you
How to unfold your love
I don't know how someone controlled you
They bought and sold you

I look at the world and I notice it's turning
While my guitar gently weeps
With every mistake we must surely be learning
Still my guitar gently weeps

I don't know how you were diverted
You were perverted too
I don't know how you were inverted
No one alerted you

I look at you all see the love there that's sleeping
While my guitar gently weeps
I look at you all
Still my guitar gently weeps

(I look from the wings at the play you are staging
While my guitar gently weeps
As I'm sitting here doing nothing but aging
Still my guitar gently weeps)

Uma música do Paul McCartney por dia - #164 The Night Before

The Night Before
Lennon/McCartney

We said our goodbyes.
(Ah.. the night before.)
Love was in your eyes.
(Ah.. the night before.)
Now, today I find
You have changed your mind.
Treat me like you did the night before.
Were you tellin' lies?
(Ah.. the night before.)
Was I so unwise?
(Ah.. the night before.)
When I held you near,
You were so sincere.
Treat me like you did the night before.
Last night is a night
I will remember you by.
When I think of things we did,
It makes me want to cry.
We said our goodbyes.
(Ah.. the night before.)
Love was in your eyes.
(Ah.. the night before.)
Now, today I find
You have changed your mind.
Treat me like you did the night before. Yes.
When I held you near,
You were so sincere.
Treat me like you did the night before.
Last night is a night
I will remember you by.
When I think of things we did,
It makes me want to cry.
Were you tellin' lies?
(Ah.. the night before.)
Was I so unwise?
(Ah.. the night before.)
When I held you near,
You were so sincere.
Treat me like you did the night before.
Like the night before.
